Upgrade didn't properly set-up lightdm

It seems that for some reason or another the upgrade logs didn't get uploaded with this bug. Can you please grab the collection of logs from /var/log/dist-upgrade and share those?

Actually according to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUpdateManager there are 3 logs in /var/log/dist-upgrade that will be specifically useful:

apt.log
term.log
main.log

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

I also had this problem when I installed 11.10. Someone on IRC told me to post my logs here.

So according to those logs, lightdm recommends unity-greeter.

mythbuntu-lightdm-theme doesn't provide lightdm-greeter, but it's dependency lightdm-gtk-greeter does.

I'm unsure why update manager didn't see lightdm-gtk-greeter as resolving the lightdm-greeter dependency for lightdm.
