The Pidgin Filesystem Chat Plugin is a (somewhat useless) protocol plugin for the multi-protocol instant messenger Pidgin (formerly Gaim). It is designed to place conversations in a simple folder structure on a filesystem, thus enabling it to provide chat functionality through environments in which socket access or similar is prohibited or very restrictive.
As some of you might have guessed, our motivations for implementing this were not in any way as mature as stated above. As a matter of fact, we only didn't have anything better to do and in general tend to get into what we call "ideologic psychosis". Here is the result ...
