The goal of Rockfish is to provide a simple and efficient gui search tool which takes advantage of the multiple of search programs available to *nix OSes.

Towards this end, Rockfish's design goals will be to develop a module system for incorporating the back-end search programs. Use the Model-View-Controller pattern to promote the separation of data gathering and data viewing--with the long term goal of having multiple gui toolkits providing the front-end to Rockfish.
