adminstrator mode remains "loading", never asks for password

Bug Description
When I go into system utilities and try to access administrator mode, the status
remains loading and never asks for admin password. It did this for all the
different categories in sys utilities. My network card wasn't configured, could
that have anything to do with it?

I guess you're talking about the "Control Center"?

This seems to be a duplicate bug of #8681. If this is not the case please reopen
it.
