What doesn't work?

kdesu is configured to use sudo in Kubuntu, you need to use your password not the root password.

Even with my user in /etc/sudoers, when I try and open "Network Settings" from settings:/Network/
in "Administrator Mode..." (the window isn't big enough and I have to resize it first, but...) I
get the usual "Run as root - KDE su" dialogue, into which I enter my user's password (this works
for Kynaptic), and then the red bordered empty pane goes away, I see the original greyed out list
of interfaces, I get the "Detecting Your Current Platform" message box, and I end up looking at
the same list with no administrator access.

apt-get --reinstall install kcontrol :)
...seams to be a problem with the very first kdelibs update.
