Bug Description

Hi

When using the VGA output on the armel imx51 babbage board under Xorg, the first lines are cut (gnome-panel misses some lines of pixels at the top, starting to cut the Ubuntu logo, perhaps ~ 10 pixels).

Also, at the bottom of the display, there are some blank lines with the same color as the bottom panel. If I move my mouse pointer to the bottom right corder, these lines suddenly turn black. The color seems to follow the color of whatever is in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Bye

this seems also to be the case under gdm (moving the mouse to the bottom right corner makes a white stripe show up at the bottom of the screen)

also looking at the console it seems there is a similar offset, so i would assume the probelm to be in the linux framebuffer driver itself.

not really "fix released", it is fixed on the babbage 2.0/2.5 where we dont have any VGA support and no analog signals on the DVI port, so its impossible to actually confirm the status on a VGA port given that we dont support the babbage1 anymore ... moving to "incomplete" (where it will likely stay until there is other imx51 HW with VGA sockets on board again)

I am also looking for a imx51 board with VGA output.
What is the relationship between i.MX51 evaluation Kit (part number: MCIMX51EVKJ) and the i.MX51 babbage board? Are they the same thing?
where could I find more detail about i.MX51 babbage HW?

@Chow Ming: MCIMX51EVKJ is a Babbage 3.0.

since the bug is for old hardware, I don't have such VGA babbage now. So close it.
