This problem will exist for a long long time the proof of this as they say is in the pudding, priority low... (jokes) other ancient bugs still exist since forever up until even Lucid.

1st ALL ION platforms will and do exibit this error regardless of distro.

2nd Thers a lack of Linux drivers for a monitoring chipset which would very likely solve this.

3rd laxing kernel fixes this but borks all sorts.
