I have an interest in using Ubuntu and living a Windowless existence, I am very interested in PC Hardware and building computers which I do on request for friends. Currently I have formed the Ubuntu Gaming PC Builds team to gather together in one place information about putting together a PC specifically for gaming with Ubuntu using the latest hardware and providing the highest performance for gaming under Wine or native Linux games. The team has been established to allow for input from many walks of life and takes its lead from the myriad of PC Hardware websites out there aimed at building a Windows centric PC for gaming.

Ultimately we should have a concise and detailed list of hardware that is supported and 'just works' with minimal end-user input for building PC's
